HDS4500 is an ultra-high speed, phase-based, shorter range
scanner. Phase-based scanners utilize a continuous laser beam
rather than a pulsing laser beam inherent to time-of-flight
ranging systems. Continuous lasers allow ultra-high speed
scanning from 100,000 points/sec to 500,000 points/sec. The
speed advantage and the full 360 x 310 field of view makes the
HDS4500 ideal for projects with very short time windows for
field data collection and for other field-efficient needs.
Ultra high-speed, shorter range scanners are increasingly
proving beneficial for capturing interiors of process plants
and tunnels and have shown extensive use in automotive plants
and architectural applications.
